Nearly 200 high school students from 25 countries tuned in to Experience CMU-Q, a Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar workshop for exploring study and career options in science, technology and business. CMU-Q is a Qatar Foundation partner university.
This is the first time that CMU-Q has offered Experience CMU-Q virtually, which allowed students outside of Qatar the opportunity to participate. In addition to Qatar, students logged in from India, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Morocco, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa and Uzbekistan.
The Experience CMU-Q workshop is held twice a year for pre-college students to learn more about the academic programmes at CMU-Q. The Qatar campus offers undergraduate programmes in biological sciences, business administration, computational biology, computer science and information systems.
Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar is now accepting applications for fall 2021 enrolment. The early decision deadline for students who have previously attended a CMU-Q workshop is November 1. The deadline for regular applications is February 1, 2021.
