The Air Cargo Customs foiled yet another attempt to smuggle 'tambaku' (chewing tobacco) into Qatar at Hamad International Airport (HIA), the General Authority of Customs (GAC) informed on its social media accounts. The banned substance, weighing 1,500kg, was found hidden inside consignments of hair care products. The customs had seized 27kg of tambaku in September last week from a consignment of various foodstuffs. 
In September second week, the Air Cargo Customs officials seized banned Captagon pills that were being smuggled into Qatar. The 34,990 pills were concealed inside a consignment of small tables.
In July, officials foiled seized four packs of crystal meth (Methamphetamine) weighing 734gm at Cargo customs at HIA.
