Some 143 property deals worth QR724.3mn were registered in Qatar in the week from August 9 to 13, Ezdan Real Estate has said in a report.

These were spread across eight municipalities- Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Thakhira, Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Shamal, Shehaniya, Al Daayen and Al Wakra.

They included vacant land lots, residences, multi-use buildings, mixed-use space land and residential buildings.

Al Daayen Municipality topped in terms of the highest sale deal, at QR1,216 per square foot, exceeding QR74.5mn, while Doha municipality came second through the sale of a vacant land lot in Fereej Bin Mahmoud.

This property covers an area of 5,482 square meters, and the deal was concluded at QR814 per square foot, totalling around QR48mn.

Al Shamal Municipality recorded the “lowest property sale deal” in terms of value for a vacant land lot. This property spreads over an area of 482 square meters, which was sold at QR120 per square foot, accounting for a total value of QR622,600.

Transactions on buildings formed the chunk – 61 deals or 51.5% of the total value of all properties sold (at QR373mn) in the period under review, the report said.

Vacant land lots registered 82 sales deals worth approximately QR351.4mn, Ezdan said.
