Ooredoo has extended financial assistance to Qatar Charity (QC) in support of the latter’s ‘Eid Gift for Orphans’ project implemented within Qatar, as part of the company’s social responsibility policy.
The director of Public Relations at Ooredoo, Sabah Rabiah al-Kuwari, handed over a cheque to the director of the Local Development Department at QC, Jassim al-Emadi.
Al-Emadi thanked Ooredoo for its continued partnership with Qatar Charity and support to give orphans the warmth of family, especially on such happy occasions like Eid al-Adha. He also emphasised the keenness of QC to co-operate with Ooredoo and other companies for community service and development within and outside the country.
For his part, al-Kuwari said this support comes to share the joy of Eid al-Adha with orphans, adding that the company is keen to support these vulnerable children. He also noted that QC and Ooredoo enjoy a long-running partnership throughout the year, including important seasons like Ramadan.
He also showed his admiration for Qatar Charity’s efforts in the battle against the Covid-19 pandemic, as he said that it is among the highly effective and active institutions that have had a significant positive impact on limiting the spread of the pandemic in the country.
Besides, he lauded QC for its diverse and ongoing initiatives and projects throughout the year.
Qatar Charity aims to provide Eid gifts to 450 orphans whom it sponsors within Qatar, in addition to giving Eid clothes to 450 children from low-income families in the country.
