The Qatar Stars League (QSL) held a co-ordination meeting, via video conferencing technology, with club coaches yesterday in the presence of Ahmed Khellil Abbassi, Executive Director of Competition and Football Development at the QSL, and Miguel Heitor, Director of Football Development Department.
The meeting was held as part of continuous arrangements ahead of the resumption of 2019-20 QNB Stars League, as per the general plan and protocol developed by the Qatar Stars League (QSL) and approved by Ministry of Public Health and Aspetar.
At the beginning of the meeting, Abbassi thanked and appreciated the clubs, players, administrative as well as technical staff and Aspetar for their co-operation during the first and second stages of the protocol, which helped all achieve the common goals before the safe return of league championship. He said it would not have been possible had it not been for the continued co-operation, co-ordination and commitment for the sake of public interest, and stated that the return of football and league would give hope and optimism for the future.
The meeting discussed the third stage, regarding the resumption of competitions, according to the precautionary measures stipulated for match-day operations, after reviewing the recommendations, general guidelines and instructions related to the coronavirus (Covid-19) protocol.
All clarifications pertaining to the general plan for third stage were given to clubs, with assurance that these procedures would be subject to continuous evaluation according to the latest developments in the country’s efforts to tackle the menace.(QSL.qa)
