HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani on Thursday held a telephone call with US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
During the phone call, they reviewed bilateral relations, the latest developments in the region and issues of common concern.
Later in the day, Pompeo tweeted: "Good to speak with Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. I thanked him for Qatar’s support in facilitating the intra-Afghan talks, and we discussed the importance of countering regional threats, Gulf unity, and advancing regional prosperity and stability."
