Commercial Bank is joining hands with Euromoney Livestream to present "Qatar: Navigating the New Normal", a first-of-its-kind, online Euromoney Livestream on July 15, where key speakers from the bank, economists, and investors will share their perspectives on the future of banking and finance in light of the current Covid-19 pandemic.
Ibrahim Jassim al-Othman, United Development Company (UDC) president, CEO and member of the board; Joseph Abraham, Group CEO of Commercial Bank; and Raju Buddhiraju, executive general manager, Wholesale Banking of Commercial Bank, will be joining Richard Banks of Euromoney Livestream on Wednesday to discuss the effect of the pandemic on Qatar and how the nation is preparing for the new normal.
This Euromoney Livestream is the first Middle-East-focused episode during the pandemic and is considered to be an “unrivalled opportunity” for the public not only to hear it straight from top experts in two of Qatar’s most important publicly listed companies, but also to engage them in a round of questions via live chat.
Al-Othman said, “There is no doubt that Covid-19 has had its impact on business. However, businesses with solid strategies will always find a way to manoeuvre through this hurdle.”
“Covid-19 has presented both challenges and opportunities which have required us to do things differently. The strategy that we have implemented, particularly in technology, has enabled us to respond to both challenges and opportunities,” stated Abraham.
Victoria Behn, director, Middle East, Euromoney added: “Euromoney is pleased to continue its longstanding relationship with Commercial Bank of Qatar and introduce this special country-focused Livestream.”
“Commercial Bank is inviting everyone to join the unprecedented discussion and to hear directly from top decision-makers in the country. Join the talk, get answers to your questions, and register today,” the bank said in a statement.
