The General Directorate of Traffic's online services, especially the Metrash2 application, witnessed a significant turnout from the public during the first half of 2020.
The directorate data showed that the total number of online traffic transactions that were carried out during the first half of 2020 reached 514,000 compared to about 303,000 transactions for the same period last year.
Director of Traffic Awareness Department Colonel Mohammad Radhi Al Hajri said that traffic statistics showed that the public conducted 450,000 online vehicle registration transactions - the most among online services, and 36,000 driving licenses transactions.
He pointed out that the General Directorate of Traffic's portal on Metrash2 offers more than 40 services related to driving licenses, vehicles, signs, traffic violations, accidents, traffic certificates, and other services.
Colonel Mohammad Radhi Al Hajri urged the public to take advantage of the online services provided by the directorate to individuals, institutions, and companies through the Metrash2 application and the Ministry of Interior website, to carry out their transactions easily, indicating that they can pay the services fees directly without the need to go to the General Directorate of Traffic's departments, which saves time and effort.
