World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), a global think tank and an initiative of Qatar Foundation will begin the second part of ‘Education Disrupted, Education Reimagined’ series for three days from Tuesday.

The first part of the series was held virtually in April this year and educators from around the world discussed the future of learning and how to overcome the challenges in education posed by Covid-19.

This three-day online event will be a global gathering that aims to explore how the education sector has responded to the Covid-19 crisis. The second part of the event will examine the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on education systems now and in the future.

The discussion will unpack what has worked, what has not and how the world can begin to reimagine education for the future. There will be morning and afternoon sessions that will cover the same topics through different angles.

Day one, with the topic ‘From Rapid Response to Future Preparation’ will build on the foundations set in the first part of the series and look at the data and indicators coming out of schools and systems to consider how to measure the effectiveness of different responses to the crisis.

Deliberations on day two will revolve on the topic of ‘Leveraging Innovation to Reimagine Resilience’ and will look at how to future-proof educational ecosystems and leverage existing innovation to bolster resilience.

The participants will focus on ‘Redefining Equity through Technology’ on day three and will examine how the current crisis has accelerated cross-sector collaborations and in turn, underline the need to bridge deep digital divides.
