The Shura Council participated in a parliamentary meeting held Wednesday within the framework of the partnership between the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean with the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund, via video conference. The meeting was held under the title "Parliamentary Meeting on the World Bank Strategy on the Fragility of Conflict and Conflict and Violence", where legislators, civil servants and parliamentarians from all over the world got together with senior experts from the World Bank Group to review the latest World Bank strategy on the fragility of conflict, conflict and violence and work in the Sahel.
Discussions focused on measures that parliaments can take to improve action in fragile and conflict-affected countries through focused legislation, enhanced oversight and financing for development.
The Shura Council was represented in this meeting, in which more than 110 parliamentarians from all over the world participated, by HE Ali bin Abdullatif al-Misnad al-Mohannadi, member of the Council.
