The Ministry of Interior (MoI) has urged Qataris and residents to complete the National Address registration before July 26, 2020 in order to avoid any legal consequences.
A video, tweeted by MoI, said the law is a qualitative leap in the conduct of judicial procedures and enabling a proper communication system.
“This will ensure that everyone receives proper communications from the State and receives essential official notifications and announcements timely.
"It also enables all authorities to develop their services continuously. It’s a legislative move in the course of legal and judicial proceedings,” it said.
The National Address registration will increase the performance rates of some security services for rapid response in case of emergencies. The services include those by Al Fazaa, Traffic, Civil Defence and Ambulance.
The registration, according to the video, will also help residents take advantage for online purchase and delivery.
A citizen or an expatriate or his legal representative has to register his data in a simple form that includes the address of residence, fixed telephone number, mobile number, email, employer address for government and private sector employees, and permanent address abroad, if available.
The guardian of minor children has to register their data and bears the legal responsibility for the validity of this data.
For queries, applicants can contact the following MoI service centres, according to the relevant geographical area, during the working hours on the following numbers during Ramadan from 9am to 1pm and during the normal working days from 6am to 1pm.
