The Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu has praised the decisive role Qatar played in ensuring the success of talks between the US and the Taliban, congratulating the leadership, government, and people of Qatar on the achievement.

He stressed that the achievement would have been impossible if it wasn't for the role played by Qatar and successful mediation, which contributed to the historic achievement. The Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs told reporters that the agreement is one of the historic moments in the journey towards Afghan peace, adding that it was thanks to the independent and active Qatari diplomacy.

He praised the achievement despite the difficulty it faced, stressing his country's support to efforts that will lead to peace in Afghanistan.

Cavusoglu said that the agreement sets the stage for intra-Afghan talks, expressing hope that these talks start soon and lead to a sustainable and comprehensive peace for the Afghan people.

Meanwhile, Oman's Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah praised the efforts of Qatar in holding talks that ultimately led to the agreement for bringing peace to Afghanistan.

He told reporters that the agreement, signed between the US and the Taliban in Doha, gives hope that the region's issues could be resolved, and creates an opportunity to overcome obstacles and use the agreement as a model for resolving crises.

Bin Alawi said that the agreement hosted by Doha was a big step towards peace in Afghanistan, adding that the country which has long been home to terrorists will now become a land of peace thanks to the agreement.

He stressed that all countries have a big and important role in helping Afghanistan realise a bright future.

Tajikistan Foreign Minister of Sirodjidin Muhriddin expressed Saturday appreciation of Qatari mediation of US-Taliban talks which led to a peace agreement.

HE Foreign Minister of Tajikistan was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the signing ceremony of the agreement bringing peace to Afghanistan that took place in Doha today and said that it reflects the success of Qatari diplomacy in helping the two sides achieve peace.

He stressed that the agreement will help establish peace in Afghanistan, especially that there is an interest from all parts to reach that goal and end a 19-year war.

Tajikistan's foreign minister said that the agreement will represent the beginning of an expanded dialogue between all Afghan parties, praising the efforts made to sign the agreement after long talks in Doha.

He added that the agreement was a success for Qatari diplomacy which aims to establish peace and stability, it also comes as part of its commitment to dialogue and constructive co-operation.
