Northerly winds, dust and a drop in temperature have been forecast in the country starting Monday, according to the Met department.
In a report on Saturday, the department said northwesterly winds are expected to return to the country between Monday and Thursday due to the extension of high pressure over the region.
The wind speed inshore will range from 12-22 knots, gusting to 30 knots in some places at times, especially during the daytime. This, in turn, will result in dusty conditions at times along with poor visibility of below 2km in some areas, the report states.
Offshore, the wind speed is expected to go beyond 30 knots, causing high waves of over 10ft in some places.
The northwesterly winds will be accompanied by a decrease in temperature, especially during the night hours and early in the morning. The maximum temperature is expected to range from 19-25C and the minimum from 10-17C, according to the forecast.
The Met department has urged people to be cautious, avoid all marine activities and follow the latest updates through its official social media accounts.
Meanwhile, Sunday's forecast says poor visibility is expected in some places in the early hours due to misty to foggy conditions. This will be followed by moderate daytime temperature, scattered clouds and a chance of light rain in the north by the evening. It will be relatively cold at night.
