The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Public Health, participated in the meetings of the fifty-third session of the Arab Health Ministers' Council, which was held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.

The delegation of the Ministry of Public Health at the meetings was headed by Assistant Minister for Health Affairs for the Ministry of Public Health Dr. Salih Ali Al Marri.

During the meetings, a number of important topics were discussed, most notably the issue of Coronavirus 2019 (COVID 19).

The meetings also discussed two working papers submitted by the State of Qatar, the first is disaster and emergency management in the health field in light of the successive political events and health in all policies, while the second working paper dealt with the topic of replacing paper documents electronically at the Arab Health Ministers' Council conference.

The successful and pioneering experiences in the health field were also reviewed, as well as improving the health of mothers, children and adolescents in the Arab region, the roles of Arab migrant health competencies in strengthening the health sector in Arab countries, Arab-Chinese cooperation, and health rights of persons with disabilities.
