Ooredoo will be the Communications Partner for Qatar Cancer Society’s upcoming World Cancer Day event tomorrow at Aspire Park, being held from 4pm-8pm.
There will be a host of activities aimed at raising awareness of cancer, sharing information and enabling early detection. Visitors can expect sports and other entertainment activities for all the family, as well as competitions and prizes and a series of educational activities.
The leading telecommunications operator has a longstanding partnership with Qatar Cancer Society, supporting its many community initiatives as it supports Qatari communities in the fight against cancer, according to a statement.
Speaking of the latest sponsorship, Yousuf Abdulla al-Kubaisi, chief operating officer, Ooredoo Qatar,  said: “As always, we’re delighted and proud to be working with Qatar Cancer Society and especially on an event so valuable for our community. We are committed to supporting initiatives that promote health and well-being as part of our corporate social responsibility strategy, and we believe education and awareness are both key to progress in the ongoing battle against this disease. The more we can do to spread the word among our communities the better, and we hope to see as many Qatari citizens and residents at Aspire Park as possible.”
