Fifty One East is set to record another exceptional participation at the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition (DJWE).
Fifty One East’s new pavilion, with a bigger layout, is offering its visitors a wide array of high-class watches and jewellery brands, service, expertise and ambiance. The new pavilion features a warm palette of colours, six entrances, a new reception area and six VIP rooms that will leave the clients with an immediate and unforgettable impression.
Rolex, Chanel and Boucheron will have their own dedicated booths whereas Tudor, and for the very first time, will also have its own space to present its latest releases. Fifty One East is expecting a number of high-profile guests representing these international brands.
Bader al-Darwish, chairman and managing director of Fifty One East, said: “We are pleased to participate in the 17th edition of DJWE where Fifty One East is presenting its new pavilion, our largest to date, symbolising our success story that started more than 70 years ago. Crafted in Switzerland and assembled in Doha, the pavilion is resplendent in a renewed warm palette of colours that reflects both our traditional values and our bright outlook towards the future.
“As part of our commitment to value and nurture the strong and long-lasting trustful ties that we have with our clients and partners alike, we offer the finest brands from around the world along with an impeccable experience.
“Fifty One East’s signature hospitality assures you of a warm welcome to our pavilion, where we present the latest novelties along with iconic and rare pieces. We look forward to greeting you and sharing exceptional moments born out of a mutual admiration for excellence in jewellery and watchmaking.”
Rolex is displaying its Baselworld 2019 collection with a main focus on the sailing watch, Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master 42, with its diameter of 42mm and a new-generation calibre 3235, the Oyster Perpetual Sea-Dweller in yellow Rolesor version and the Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph Daytona in 18ct yellow gold and 36 trapeze-cut diamonds set on the bezel in lieu of the tachymetric scale. Rolex is also displaying the Oyster Perpetual Day-Date 36 in 18ct yellow, white or Everose gold, with novel dials, in particular those in decorative stone. In addition, it will present the Oyster Perpetual Datejust 36 and the Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31 in yellow, white or Everose Rolesor versions with new, refined dials.
This year, Boucheron is revamping its booth and showcasing a unique Parisian style design which recalls the historical Boucheron Hôtel Particulier on Place Vendôme in Paris. A selection of new necklaces from the 2020 Signature High Jewellery Collection will be showcased for the first time abroad, paying tribute to the timeless icon and innovative Question Mark necklace invented by Boucheron in 1879. In addition, Boucheron is also presenting its creative High Jewellery Collection Paris, vu du 26 that is completely inspired from the architecture and culture of Paris as seen from the eyes of the Maison. It will also showcase for the first time in Doha its new jewellery Spring-Summer creations from the iconic Quatre, Serpent Bohème and Jack de Boucheron collections.
Another highlight will be Chanel’s revamped booth with a large part inspired by the camellia flower, a motif dear to Mademoiselle Chanel. The Maison will showcase the high jewellery collection 1.5 1 Camélia 5 Allures which features many transformable pieces, adorned in diamonds, pink sapphires, rubies and rose gold designs. Chanel will also present the latest collections of fine jewellery from Coco Crush and Camélia in addition to timepieces from the J12 collection.
Moreover, Tudor is showcasing their watch models from Baselworld 2019, including the award-winning Black Bay P01, a multi-purpose tool turned into a modern sports watch which is waterproof to 200 meters. The Swiss watchmaker will also present the Black Bay Chrono S&G and Black Bay 32, 36 and 41 models, which are now all available with a new five-link yellow gold and steel bracelet. Not to forget the famous Black Bay Bronze model which will be presented in its new slate-grey model with shaded dial.
