All incoming passengers from Iran and South Korea whose final destination is Doha and are showing no symptoms of the novel coronavirus will be asked to stay in home isolation or a quarantine facility for 14 days, Qatar Airways said in a travel alert update on its website Monday.
This is in line with various global and local health warnings, the statement noted.
Also, passengers arriving from the two above mentioned countries who are showing symptoms of the virus will be transferred to the Communicable Disease Center at Hamad Medical Corporation.
Qatar Airways thanked passengers for their co-operation in this matter.
Affected passengers can re-book their tickets to alternative dates or destinations, or request for a full refund without charge, the airline said.
"If you have booked your ticket on qatarairways.com or through any of our offices, you can re-book your tickets or submit a refund request through telephoning your local contact centre," the statement added. "If you have booked your tickets though a travel agent, please contact your travel agent to amend or refund your booking."
