HEC Paris in Qatar is marking the 10th anniversary of its presence in Qatar with its newly appointed dean, Dr Pablo Martin de Holan.
Since joining Qatar Foundation in 2010, HEC Paris has launched two highly successful degree programmes, the International Executive MBA (EMBA), ranked number 1 worldwide by the Financial Times in 2019, and the Specialised Master’s degree in Strategic Business Unit Management.
HEC Paris also offers non-degree management programmes for executives, in the form of executive short programmes and certificates as well as custom-designed programmes for organisations.
Over its first decade, 836 alumni have graduated from HEC Paris in Qatar, 68% of which is Qatari and 42% female. From the total number, 354 executives graduated from the International EMBA degree programme and 482 from the Specialised Master’s. Moreover, HEC Paris in Qatar has delivered custom-designed programmes for the executives and future leaders of 98 progressive organisations in Qatar and the region.
HEC Paris in Qatar plans to roll out a series of anniversary activities to mark its 10-year milestone culminating in a major celebration later this year.
“This celebration is our way of expressing our appreciation for the many persons and the many organisations and who have embraced our learning philosophy over the past decade. We are very grateful to them,” said Holan. “It also signals our growth plans for our second decade in Qatar and beyond, with a strong focus on entrepreneurship, women-in-leadership, and innovation, and under the two concept of Excellence and Impact. For us, excellence means world class programmes and content, and impact means sustaining and increasing our contributions to the State of Qatar and its firms, guided by the ideas of the National Vision 2030.”
Michael Lefante, director, Marketing, Events & External Relations, HEC Paris in Qatar, said: “Our first decade in Qatar has ensured we have a deep understanding of Qatar Foundation’s mission and that we share its objective and that of the National Vision 2030 of transforming Qatar into an advanced society capable of achieving sustainable development through a knowledge based economy.”
