Qatar Chamber (QC) Chairman HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani toured the pavilions of the ‘Made in Qatar’ exhibition being held in Kuwait.
Also, the third day of the expo saw a large turnout of Kuwaiti businessmen and representatives of Kuwaiti companies from all sectors, who visited the event to review the enhancement of co-operation, and build joint ventures in both countries, QC said in a statement.
During his visit, HE Sheikh Khalifa was briefed by officials of the exhibiting Qatari companies about their impression of the expo and its outcome.
The exhibitors also informed him about their discussions with Kuwaiti companies.
HE Sheikh Khalifa was accompanied by QC board member Dr Khalid al-Hajri, director-general Saleh bin Hamad al-Sharqi and some leading businessmen.
Meanwhile, a number of exhibiting Qatari companies signed agreements and contracts to forge partnerships and alliances and establish commercial agencies for Kuwaiti companies in Qatar as well as for Qatari companies in Kuwait, the statement noted.
On the sidelines of the expo, Al Baida Group, a Qatar-based company, and Kuwait-based Quest Medical Company signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to set up a company specialised in hospital management.
The MoU was signed by Al Baida Group chairman Ali Abdullatif al-Misnad and Quest Medical Company chairman Jassim Mustafa Budi.
