Two Asian expatriates were arrested for the sale and promotion of liquor, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) tweeted on Wednesday.
The arrests were made after the police received information that some persons were selling and promoting liquor from a residential area. In co-ordination with the authorities concerned, a raid was carried out and liquor was recovered from the residence of the arrested, the MoI said.
The arrested persons were handed over to the Public Prosecution for further proceedings.
