The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a 10-hour closure on parts of Bani Hajer Interchange from Thursday midnight until Friday 10am.
The closure in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic is to enable the finishing of the asphalt works as part of the Khalifa Avenue Project.
During the period, the bridge linking Doha with Al Rayyan through Al Luqta Street will be closed and road users on Al Luqta Street will have to continue towards Al Wajba Interchange, make a U-turn and take the second right exit towards Al Rayyan.
Also, Bani Hajer Underpass leading to Doha and Al Rayyan will be closed for traffic from Bani Hajer through Al Shahama Street and road users will have to take the exit towards Al Wajba Interchange and make a U-turn and follow the signs towards their destinations.
Ashghal will install road signs and requested road users to abide by the existing speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
