The National Human Rights Committee (NHRC) signed yesterday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Protector of Citizens of the Republic of Serbia (Ombudsman) to enhance friendship and co-operation relations between the two sides in scope of protecting the citizens’ rights as well as human rights and freedoms in the two countries. The MoU was signed by HE the chairman of NHRC Dr Ali bin Smaikh al-Marri and Serbian Ombudsman Zoran Pasalic. The MoU’s aim is to exchange experiences and knowledge, to enhance the close relations between the two sides in fields of spreading human rights culture and protecting it, to develop human rights system, strategies and work plans for each side, in addition to allowing both sides to benefit from the other in terms of technical and institutional expertise.
