Qatar Navigation Company (Milaha) has announced its support for the upcoming ‘Made in Qatar 2020’ exhibition in Kuwait as Golden Sponsor.

The agreement was signed by Qatar Chamber director general Saleh bin Hamad al-Sharqi and the Milaha president and CEO Abdulrahman Essa al-Mannai.

The expo, which will kick off on February 19, is organised by Qatar Chamber, in co-operation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Qatar Development Bank (QDB) as strategic partner, and in co-ordination with the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce & Industry on a 10,000sq m area at the Kuwait International Fair. The four-day expo will see a participation of about 220 Qatari manufacturing companies.

Commenting on the signing ceremony, al-Mannai said Milaha’s sponsorship emphasises its strong, strategic relationship with Qatar Chamber, noting that the relationship helps both partners to co-operate in supporting the national economy.

“It also helps both parties to join hands in developing national industries and developing SMEs, as well as achieving the economic diversification and aspiration of Qatar National Vision 2030,” he noted.

Al-Sharqi lauded Milaha’s continued support to Qatar’s industry and the company’s vital role in the development of the national economy. He said holding the third edition of the exhibition outside Qatar reflects “the great progress of Qatar’s industry.”

Milaha is one of the largest, most diversified maritime and logistics companies in the Middle East with a focus on providing integrated transport and supply chain solutions.
