Qatar Fuel (Woqod) opened Baaya Petrol Station Thursday, taking the strength of its network of various petrol stations to 97.
Woqod managing director and CEO, Saad Rashid al-Muhannadi, said: “We are pleased to open new fixed petrol station in Baaya. Woqod aspires to expand its petrol station network in the country to meet the rising demand for petroleum products and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort.
“Woqod has recently accelerated the process for the construction of new petrol stations to meet the fuel and energy needs of the country. Woqod team would like to extend their gratitude to all governmental and private entities concerned that contributed to the completion of this project.”
Baaya Petrol Station is spread over an area of 7,400sqm and has four lanes with eight dispensers for light vehicles, which will serve Baaya area and their neighbourhood. Baaya Petrol Station offers round-the-clock services to residents, and include a Sidra convenience store, in addition to sale of petrol and diesel products for light vehicles. Al-Muhannadi added that Woqod is currently overseeing the implementation of 15 new petrol stations, with most of them scheduled to be operational in the first quarter of 2020.
