Qatar Meteorology Department has forecast unstable weather from Saturday to Tuesday, including a spike and drop in mercury, strong wind, rain, and high waves.
On Saturday, a shift in wind direction to southeasterly-southwesterly moderate to fresh is expected. It may cause blowing dust in some areas and a rise in maximum temperature, reaching 30C in Doha.
Weather charts indicate a state of atmospheric instability on Sunday due to extension of a low pressure system over the region as clouds are expected to increase gradually with a chance of scattered rain, may be thundery at times, until the beginning of Monday.
Northwesterly moderate to fresh wind is expected to affect the country again from Sunday evening becoming strong at times in some areas causing a noticeable drop in temperature with minimums ranging between 10 to 17C and high waves exceeding 7ft at times.
Qatar Meteorology Department has urged all to avoid marine activities from Saturday evening until Tuesday and to follow latest updates through its official social media accounts.
