* Move to new flagship headquarters beckons start of new journey of growth for Qatar’s premier 'next generation' bank

Al Khalij Commercial Bank (Al Khaliji), has moved to its landmark new headquarters, Al Khaliji Tower, in Lusail City, beckoning the start of a new journey of growth for Qatar’s "next generation" bank.

The move was marked during a special celebration at the premier Qatari bank’s premises on the occasion of Qatar National Day and in presence of HE the Qatar Central Bank Governor Sheikh Abdulla bin Saoud al-Thani; HE the QCB Deputy Governor Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad al-Thani, as well as many other dignitaries.

The event was hosted by Al Khaliji’s chairman and managing director HE Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal bin Thani al-Thani and Al Khaliji Group CEO Fahad al-Khalifa.

The new Al Khaliji Tower adds to the evolving skyline of Lusail City and is located at 69, Al Add Al Sharqi Street. The building’s unique silhouette is distinguished by multiple setbacks, a slanted crown, and a prominent base standing on stilettoes.

For Al Khaliji customers, the new tower will include a full-service branch, ATMs and the latest innovations in banking. Whether customers are checking in with their wealth management adviser, or getting assistance for their business, the Al Khaliji Tower is set to be a great place to interact with staff from across the bank’s retail and commercial business lines.

Commenting on the bank's move to its landmark new headquarters, Sheikh Hamad said, “Shifting to new headquarters accelerates our strategy to build on our growth and deliver better to our customers in Qatar and abroad. The new Al Khaliji Tower not only speaks about Al Khaliji’s commitment to Qatar and its future, it also represents a vote of confidence in the city of tomorrow that will be Lusail City”. “In celebration of Qatar National Day, we are proud to be part of the country’s economic and real estate transformation in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030. We are assured that this move will cater to both, our clientele evolving needs and shareholders valued expectations,” he added.

The Lusail City development project is one of the largest and most elaborate developments being undertaken around the world, over a substantial area of 38 sq km where more than 450,000 people will live, work, raise their families and enjoy their lives.
