Qatar has participated in the first ministerial conference of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) on Social Development, which was held in the Turkish capital Istanbul, with a delegation headed by HE the Minister of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs Yousef bin Mohamed al-Othman Fakhro.
The conference, which took place from December 7-9, discussed the included agenda on issues and topics related to the family, children, women, persons with disabilities and the elderly.
On the sidelines of the conference, HE Yousef bin Mohamed al-Othman Fakhro met Turkish Minister of Family, Labour and Social Services Zehra Selcuk.
During the meeting, aspects of joint co-operation between the two sides were discussed, especially issues related to work and social affairs, and ways to support and develop them.
