QNB Group has received the "Bank of the Year in Qatar", "Bank of the Year in the Middle East," and "Bank of the Year in Egypt" awards during the Banker magazine’s 2019 awards ceremony held recently in London.

With the new titles confirming its leadership in both Qatar and the region, QNB Group has set the benchmark for excellence in banking services and products, strong management, sound business model and strategy of the group.

QNB Alahli, the group’s subsidiary in Egypt, received the award in recognition of its strong financials and the wide range of initiatives it undertook over the year.

The Banker's assessment was a testament that QNB has excelled in a number of areas, including corporate governance, sustainability, and innovation, in addition to the significant roles the bank plays in the banking industry’s growth.

Furthermore, the group’s latest financial results showed a remarkable growth, with its net profit increasing to $3.1bn and the total assets reaching $250bn. Also, QNB remains the highest-rated bank in Qatar and one of the highest-rated banks in the world with ratings of Aa3 from Moody’s, A from S&P, and A+ from Fitch.

QNB Group’s presence through its subsidiaries and associate companies extends to 31 countries across three continents, providing a comprehensive range of advanced products and services. The total number of employees is more than 29,000 operating through 1,100 locations, with an ATM network of more than 4,300.
