Children take part in the 13th Entertainment Day for people with special needs at the Qatar Sport Club yesterday.

The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) in collaboration with the Qatar Paralympic Committee organised the 13th Entertainment Day for people with special needs at the Qatar Sport Club yesterday.
The event, which was attended by the QOC Secretary-General Jassim al-Buenain and a number of officials from the QOC and the Qatar Paralympic Committee, featured some sports and entertainment activities dedicated to people with mental, vision and motor disabilities, including barrier races, athletics and leisure events. Participants included a number of centres for people with special needs including Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs’ female education and rehabilitation centre, Noor Institute for the Blind, Doha International Centre for Special Needs, and Al Tamakon School for Comprehensive Education. Entertainment Day aims to raise the level of awareness for people with disabilities by giving them an opportunity to express their skills by participating in several sporting events.

Qatar finish second in GCC Tennis Championship
Qatar’s junior tennis team claimed the second place at the GCC Tennis Championship Under 14 & 18 years held in Manama, Bahrain. 
The Qatari team began their campaign with a 3-0 victory over hosts Bahrain, then they defeated Oman 2-1 and Saudi Arabia 2-1 before going down fighting against Kuwait on Thursday. Qatar was 
represented Nasser al-Yafei, 
Ali Saadi, Meshaal al-Khenji and Sultan al-Malki.
