The contract signing ceremony for Pearl School’s new campus at Umm Bashir, Meshaf Area, close to Al Wakrah, was signed yesterday at a ceremony in Doha, according to a statement.
Pearl School’s patron Sheikh Hassan bin Abdullah Hassan Ali al-Thani and Al Muftah Contracting Company’s finance director Khalid Abdul Rahman Muftah al-Muftah signed the contract. The school’s sponsor Abdulrahman al-Ansari and board members were present on the occasion.
Pearl School, which started its operations in 2013-14 under the supervision of Qatar’s Ministry of Education and Higher Education, is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, India.The school has two campuses presently, with one at Thumama for Kindergarten and Primary and the other at West Bay for Primary and Preparatory.
“The school management decided to go for a new purpose-built campus in order to cater to the growing demand from the Indian expatriate community,” it was explained in the statement.
The new campus, for about 2,200 students, from Kindergarten to Primary levels, is expected to be ready by September 2020.
