Qatar census 2020

The Planning and Statistics Authority’s first phase of the general census of population, housing and establishments (Qatar 2020 Census), will start Sunday. The process will last one month.
The Authority will hold a press conference Sunday to announce the details of the first phase of the census process, the first field work of researchers, the following stages of the process and its nature, and the objectives of the census.
The press conference will be addressed by HE the President of Planning and Statistics Authority Dr Saleh bin Mohamed al-Nabit, and members of the Census Executive Committee.
Last week, the Planning and Statistics Authority organised the main training programme for field researchers as part of preparations for the first phase of the Qatar Population, Housing and Establishments Census 2020 (data completion phase).
The census is one of the most important statistical projects to collect comprehensive and up-to-date data of individuals, families, buildings and establishments in order to achieve developmental and service objectives.
The general census of population, housing and establishments, is the only statistical process that is carried out by comprehensive inventory, once every five or ten years.
Qatar has carried out census in 1986, 1997, 2004, 2010, 2015.
