Football fans based in Qatar lapped up a majority of Visa Presale tickets for the FIFA Club World Cup 2019 to be held in Qatar next month, it was revealed on Thursday.

FIFA’s website said a total of 27,896 tickets were allocated, 60% of which were bought by citizens and residents of Qatar as the presale concluded on Thursday.

Fans from the United Kingdom bought 14% of the tickets, while purchases from Brazil accounted for 4%. All the tickets made available for the second-round double-header, the semi-final featuring Liverpool and the final were snapped up.

Fans hoping for another chance to secure their seats will be able to do so exclusively via FIFA.com/tickets from 3pm Qatar time on November 14. Visa, the official payment services partner of FIFA, is the preferred payment method for the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019.

Matches will be played from December 11 to 21 at three venues in Qatar. Tickets are affordably priced in three categories, ranging from QR25 for Category 3 tickets to the first three match days up to QR400 for Category 1 tickets for the double-header comprising the third-place play-off and the final.

Fans applying for a single ticket for double-header match days will be able to attend both games at the stadium. From December, fans whose ticket applications are successful will be able to download their tickets within their FIFA ticketing account at FIFA.com/tickets and print them at home before the match.

FIFA will also be operating a resale platform on FIFA.com/tickets, which will offer ticket holders the opportunity to resell tickets upon interest from a third party.

Champion continental club teams from Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas and Oceania besides Al Sadd of Qatar are taking part in the tournament.
