Qatar Postal Services Company (Qatar Post) has announced that it is adding another market to its Connected network for online shoppers in Qatar, three years into the successful launch of its international e-commerce parcel forwarding service.
Following the UK and the US, Singapore marks the latest virtual address for Connected global expansion, Qatar Post has said in a statement.
With this addition of one of the world’s fastest growing economies and e-commerce markets to its network, Qatar Post will offer its customers and e-shoppers access to the largest and most established Singaporean online stores and retailers. Through Connected, customers can place their orders at their favourite e-commerce platforms in Singapore and have their parcels delivered to their doorstep through a variety of options availed by Qatar Post, the statement notes.
They will also benefit from services offering the virtual consolidation for their shipments, as well as free storage for up to 21 days.
Hamad Mohamed al-Fahida, chief operating officer, Qatar Post, said: “When we launched our Connected platform in 2016, it was with a promise to bring our customers closest to what mattered to them, at the exact address and time they wanted. Our e-commerce network has since scaled to include some of the world’s biggest and fastest-growing digital markets, as well as the largest and most renowned online retailers in these markets.
“Singapore marks a significant addition to Connected, and we are confident in that this market will see a great deal of traction and uptake with Qatar’s online shoppers. It is also, certainly, one of many addresses we plan to launch in the near future.”
Qatar Post is eyeing a larger network for Connected, with the addition of several booming e-commerce markets around the world, the statement adds.
