General Authority of Customs (GAC) chairman Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Jamal met with US Intellectual Property Enforcement co-ordinator Vishal Amin and his accompanying delegation in Doha yesterday, as part of his tour to discuss the enforcement of intellectual property with a number of governmental authorities in Qatar. The meeting focused on ways to enhance co-operation and the practices implemented by the customs to protect intellectual property in Qatar. The two sides also discussed the enforcement of mechanisms so that to ensure the rights of major manufacturers and brand names registered in the country.
