The Speaker of Jordan’s House of Representatives Eng. Atef Tarawneh met with ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al-Thani.
During the meeting, the Speaker of Jordan’s House of Representatives affirmed his country’s keenness on reaching the best levels in bilateral relations to serve the interests of the two countries.
He stressed the importance of the joint parliamentary co-ordination between the two countries, especially on the Palestinian issue and defending its cause in various international parliamentary forums.
For his part, Qatar’s ambassador affirmed that the State of Qatar seeks to strengthen existing relations with Jordan in various fields, pointing out that they are solid relations based on firm foundations and mutual respect. The ambassador also said the State of Qatar is working closely with Jordan to strengthen relations between the two countries and to activate the joint co-ordination to face the challenges in the region, adding that both countries seek to jointly support projects and programmes that contribute to the overall economic development of the two countries.
In addition, president of the Jordanian Senate Faisal al-Fayez also met with Sheikh Saud bin Nasser al-Thani.
During the meeting, the president of the Jordanian Senate affirmed the strong relations between the two countries and Jordan’s keenness on maintaining and developing these relations in various bilateral fields.
