The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a traffic closure along approximately 500m of Al Mirqab Al Jadeed Street starting from Al Wedyaan Street in the direction towards Al Amir Street from tomorrow until November 30.
The opposite lane will stay open to traffic during the closure that will be implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
The closure is to facilitate completion of upgrading of infrastructure service lanes as part of Improvement of Main Roads in the Al Nasr Area Project.
During the closure, traffic on Al Mirqab Al Jadeed Street will have to use the traffic signal at the intersection of Mohamed Bin Al Qassim and Al Mirqab Al Jadeed Streets, then turn right or left and get onto a parallel road to Al Mirqab Al Jadeed Street to reach Al Amir Street as shown in the map.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure and has requested road users to abide by the speed limit and to follow road signs to ensure safety.
