The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has stressed that overcoming obstacles and difficulties facing students and paying attention to the demands of parents, is the priority.

This came during the visit of the assistant undersecretary for educational affairs, Fawzia Abdulaziz al-Khater, to the headquarters of the Admission and Registration Committee in Al Ahnaf bin Qais Preparatory School for Boys, and Abu Hanifa Model School for Boys, to respond to inquiries of parents, as part of the ministry's endeavours to overcome obstacles in all services provided.

Some parents talked about the main challenges and difficulties they face in registering and transferring their children, and al-Khater noted that students will be accepted to the nearest geographical area, in addition to providing transportation and overcome difficulties for parents in this regard.

During her visit to the department of further support at Al Ahnaf bin Qais Preparatory School, she stressed the importance of providing all the requirements and needs of the department in the belief of the ministry that the education of this group of students is a priority.

For her part, Head of Admissions and Registration Department Warda Mohamed al-Aqeel explained that the registration and transfer of students is done through the school administrations, pointing out that in case of any problem in this regard, a paper application form is used, which is sent by the school to the department in the ministry.

Al-Aqeel called on parents to visit the schools concerned with the registration and the transfer of their children in the two centre, after the ministry provided them with a sufficient number of staff to support parents and respond to their inquiries, and not to carry out registration or transfer of students.

The ministry on August 21 opened registration and transfer of students in public schools for the academic year 2019/2020, for all educational levels, and registration will continue until September 5, while registration and electronic transfer is scheduled during the period from September 8 to 19 through the electronic registration link (http://tasjeel.edu.gov.qa).

The ministry called on all parties to pay attention to the students, and to exert the utmost efforts required in order to start a successful and excellent school year, expressing its aspiration to a successful academic generation to keep pace with the developments and requirements of the modern era, which requires that all stakeholders in the educational process, including parents play their role in encouraging their children and motivating them.
