The team from the Digital Transformation of Small & Medium Business Enterprises (DTSME), an initiative of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), has announced that it is conducting around a dozen seminars this month.

Launched in 2018 by HE the Minister of Transport and Communications Jassim Seif Ahmed al-Sulaiti, the DTSME programme was designed to enable Qatar’s small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to apply digital technology in developing their companies.

According to HE al-Sulaiti, the MoTC is expecting more than 5,000 SMEs to benefit from the programme by the end of 2019. HE the Minister is encouraging Qatari SMEs and entrepreneurs to avail the benefits of the programme, which aims to put SMEs at the forefront of developing ICTs in Qatar.

The DTSME is inviting interested parties to register for the upcoming sessions this month, which offer “valuable technological tools” to transform one’s business, network with industry professionals, and expand horizons.

Also, August will witness the “new special launch” of the DTSME’s ‘Emerging Tech Series’ and the second edition of the ‘Arab Women in Tech’ workshop.

The workshop’s first edition, titled ‘Arab Women in Tech: Emerging Women in Emerging Tech’, was held last month. It highlighted Arab women’s record in technology entrepreneurship and capitalised on a wide range of digital transformation solutions for technology SMEs.

The event also featured a number of Arab women who shared their insight and expertise in the field by exchanging views and exploring opportunities to inspire and educate Arab women on the role digital transformation plays in SMEs' growth.

Monday, from 4pm to 5pm at Al Nassr Tower B, M Floor, a workshop titled ‘Keep Your Company Data Secure’ will be led by Ooredoo, which will discuss solutions to help businesses expand and back up critical data quickly to ensure safe, secure storage and rapid recovery.
