The beaches across Qatar witnessed a large turnout of visitors throughout the Eid holidays, local Arabic daily Arrayah reported yesterday.
While the Sealine Beach received great turnout of families the Khor Al Udeid Beach saw mostly young people. People started going to the beaches from the second day of the Eid holidays as many spent the first day in family gatherings and visits.
The visitors to the beaches were full of appreciation for the availability of various services and traffic patrols.
Visitors to the Sealine beach enjoyed camel riding, desert bikes, and a good number of cafes and cafeterias. Most people praised the Sealine area for its clear water and good sandy beaches where they could swim safely.
At Khor Al Udaid, young people loved the scope for adventure, spending long hours driving their SUVs on the sand dunes in the company of their friends.
Qatar resident Mohamed al-Saleem said he passed through the Sealine area while going to the Khor Al Udeid Beach. He also recommended that motorists going to Khor Al Udeid should ensure their vehicles are well-equipped with tyres compliant with the necessary safety specifications.
Khalifa al-Suwaidi stressed that Khor Al Udeid is considered the main destination for him and many young people to spend holidays because it has ample open spaces, where they can sit, play and prepare food together. But he was of the view that the conduct of some youngsters who perform irresponsible stunt driving need to be tightly monitored.
Saleem al-Ali highly appreciated the intensive presence of the traffic patrols at the Sealine Area that helped greatly in maintaining smooth movement of vehicles throughout the holidays even though the turnout of visitors has been very high.
Another visitor Badr al-Rahimi said that the area has seen considerable developments with the availability of a number of cafeterias and restaurants, in addition to the nearby Al Meera branch.
