The first ever Lego festival opened on Tuesday at Doha Festival City (DHFC), welcoming a large number of families and children who had the chance to experience an array engaging activities.
The festival, which will run until September 17, features various Lego activities in four
different zones spread across DHFC, including creative brick building and instructed challenges, as well as other physical activations.
“The Lego festival is a wonderful opportunity for us to interact with our guests through igniting their imagination, by giving them a fun experience where families can engage with, what the Lego brand values in a creative way in a caring environment, by learning through a quality product such as Lego,” Robert Hall, General Manager said in a press statement.
“DHFC looks forward to welcoming all visitors from different ages to the Lego festival,” he added.

The festival provides participants with an opportunity “to meet and engage with five exploring, creative, funny and quirky characters: Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia and Stephanie” at the Lego Friends Zone, located at the atrium node, ground floor.
This zone features a photo booth, a silent disco where visitors can dance away; and a station for creating a Lego heart, which will be added to a giant heart display. “Growing over time, it will leave a piece of their Lego heart at DHFC.”
Meanwhile, young participants can learn to build pits, tables, and a Duplo train all set in a park themed set up at the Lego Duplo activity, taking place at the mall’s centre court.
For more experienced builders, the Lego Technic + Architecture, also at the Centre Court, provides exciting activities such as building and racing Lego cars, among others. They can also take a picture on the podium with the Lego Champions Cup.
Visitors can experience a Lego zoo, featuring life-size forms of various animals at the Lego Jungle activity at the Centre court on the first floor while others “can test their abilities to tame the dragons and become a master” at the Lego Ninjago, located at the entertainment node.
This zone has been designed for children who love adventure, allowing the Ninjago theme to come to life with a rustic ninja backdrop, dojo for training and huts for Dragon challenges.
According to DHFC, shoppers can participate in these Lego activities for free from 2pm to 10pm daily.
Apart from hosting such one-of-its-kind festival, DHFC also offers a unique mix of indoor and outdoor attractions such as Qatar’s first VOX 4D cinema complex, Outdoor Leisure Trail cycling, and three unique entertainment parks, including Angry Birds World, Snow Dunes, and Virtuocity.
