The General Authority of Customs recognised on Wednesday 21 inspectors from different divisionss for their distinguished work. 
HE the Chairman of the General Authority of Customs Ahmed bin Abdullah al-Jamal honoured the inspectors and praised their contribution to maintaining security in the country by preventing the entry of banned substances that harm people and society. Al-Jamal said that these achievements were a result of state support that provides the best equipment and training to inspectors. 



One of the biggest achievements was in Hamad Port, where authorities seized more than 10tonnes of 'Paan' and 460kilos of an illegal form of tobacco. At Hamad International Airport, authorities seized more than 31tonnes of hashish, and 1.171kilos of heroin, among other illegal substances. 
The authority stressed its commitment to developing the skills of its workers and inspectors, as part of developing a comprehensive system that protects the state and society.
