The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary closure of the southbound Ramp Bridge at Bu Al Yawabi Interchange, for traffic coming from Doha via G-Ring Road and heading towards Mesaieed, from June 23 for four days.
The closure will be carried out in order to enable the implementation of necessary maintenance works, Ashghal has said in a statement.
The traffic change has been designed in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
During the above-mentioned period, road users heading towards Mesaieed through Bu Al Yawabi Interchange will reach Aba Seleel Interchange and have to use any of the alternative routes, as shown on the map.
Road users coming from Doha via G-Ring Road and heading towards Mesaieed will be required to make an exit at Aba Seleel Interchange towards Hamad Port Road, continue straight for approximately 2km and use the first exit at Bu Ghurban Interchange towards Al Kharrara via Al Wukair Road.
On Al Wukair Road, they will have to continue straight to Bu Jood Interchange and exit to Al Majd Road heading towards Mesaieed. In case road users miss the exit at Aba Seleel Interchange, a U-turn can be taken at Al Bahiya Interchange and they can follow the previously outlined route.
If road users miss both exits on G-Ring Road, they can continue their journey to Salwa Road and make a U-turn at Mesaieed Interchange and head southbound towards Mesaieed via Al Majd Road, the statement explains.
Ashghal will instal road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure. It has requested all road users to abide by the specified speed limit on the alternative routes and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
