Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) has announced that it is readying itself for summer with an exclusive programme for adults and children.
Running from July 3 until August 25, the sixth edition of Splash and Dash will feature a wide variety of sporting activities, while the second summer camp will offer kids a range of fun, artistic and cultural activities to enjoy, AZF has said in a statement.
Adults and children alike are invited “to participate in the fun at AZF’s world-class venues, which have become a popular destination for athletes and sports enthusiasts from around the world”, the statement notes.
Now in its sixth edition, the Splash & Dash will give participants the opportunity to run around the indoor track at Aspire Dome and to swim in its Olympic pool on Mondays and Wednesdays every week, from 7pm-9pm.
AZF will provide a reception desk at the Aspire Dome entrance for those wishing to participate, with fees at QR25 per day or QR400 for the full month. Registration is open to people aged six years and up.
AZF is also putting the final touches on its second edition of the summer camp for kids, which is scheduled to take place from July 7-31. Boys and girls aged 6-13 years can attend four days a week, from 8am-1.30pm. The camp will take place at the Aspire Dome, Ladies Sports Hall and Aspire Park.
The camp’s programme includes a variety of activities, including athletics, gymnastics, aerobics, long jump, tennis, badminton, swimming lessons and training sessions in basketball, handball, taekwondo, football and volleyball.
Children will also have the chance to take part in educational field trips to destinations across Doha, including Al Thuraya Planetarium at Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation, National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) and KidZania.
Last year, the summer camp attracted more than 200 children and was a hit among parents, whose feedback was instrumental in bringing back a new and improved camp in 2019, AZF said. The summer camp is organised in partnership with Katara, KidZania, NMoQ, The Cage Sport, Planet Medical Centre and the STEM Xplorers.
For those who wish to register their kids for the summer camp, all terms and conditions and the registration portal can be found at One can also follow all AZF’s news and updates by following its social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter,
