This week, Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co, the authorised distributor of Nissan in Qatar, announced the arrival of the new 2019 Nissan Maxima.
Drivers can now discover exclusive enhancements to Nissan’s flagship sedan which include a sleek, sculpted, V-motion-inspired exterior, new wheel designs and a refined interior at the Nissan showrooms in Al Khor, Bin Omran and Al Sadd, and the main showroom on Salwa Road, Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co has said in a statement.
With a commanding new attitude that combines power, safety, and seductive streamlined design, the new 2019 Maxima offers 300-horsepower 3.5-litre V6 engine and sport-tuned steering, braking and suspension. Add to that 19-inch diamond-cut wheels, an enlarged V-motion grille with boomerang signature LED lighting, and the Nissan Safety Shield 360 – a suite of advanced driver-assist systems that supports Nissan Intelligent Mobility.
“The model continues its reputation as an exciting near-luxury sports sedan that gives drivers greater freedom and confidence on the roads,” the statement notes.
Martin Aherne, general manager – automotive at Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co, said, “Nissan Maxima maintains its position as the 4-door sports car. Our bold and refreshed 2019 Maxima sets a new standard for the sedan market that showcases practicality, futuristic technology, design and an engaging experience behind the wheel. We at Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co are pleased to launch this car in Qatar and happy to welcome all our customers to live this experience.”
Brand survey results from the region revealed positive sentiments for the Nissan Maxima. The car was voted as #1 in the sedan segment against competitors.
The new 2019 Maxima embraces the Nissan Intelligent Mobility philosophy, which provides technology in a way that moves people to a better world. For Maxima, this includes the availability of Nissan Safety Shield 360, a suite of six advanced active safety and driver-assist technologies designed to help provide 360 degrees of active driver assistance, crash avoidance, and pedestrian detection.
The Maxima’s aggressive, updated exterior appearance was created by Nissan Design America in La Jolla, California, US. It features a larger front grille with a deeper V-motion flow that carries into the hood and down the body to the redesigned rear tail lamps and rear fascia.
Inside, the Maxima body is a driver-centric cockpit and comfortable seating for all five occupants. Enhancing the Maxima’s already high level of quality and premium luxury appointments is a new seat insert pattern and charcoal headliner and pillars for SR grades. The SR grade features special Rakuda Tan semi-aniline leather appointments, similar to that available on the Nissan GT-R Premium Interior Package.
The interior retains the Maxima’s ‘Gliding Wing’ interior layout, which emphasises horizontal movement and ergonomic, easy access to all controls.
The 2019 Maxima also comes equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, with 8-inch multi-touch colour display, Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System and Streaming audio via Bluetooth. The new Maxima’s selection of audio and infotainment choices include a Bose Premium Audio system with 11 speakers.
Nissan Door to Door Navigation adds directions that move from your compatible smartphone to Maxima’s touch-screen seamlessly.
Lastly, over-the-air updates allow owners to update the audio unit software and maps via Wi-Fi or a USB device without making a trip to the dealer.
The refreshed 2019 Nissan Maxima is offered in five grade levels: S, SV and three variations of the SR grade.
