HE Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad al-Thani, President of Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC), crowned 'Al Wajbah', champions of the first edition of the Ramadan Super Football Tournament on Friday.
Al Wajbah won the title after beating Lekhwiya 1-0 in the final match. The two teams shared control of the game in the first half, which was characterised by strong performance by both sides.
Five minutes after the second half kickoff whistle, Al Wajbah's Bilal Abdulrahman transformed a penalty kick into a goal, adding more excitement to the game. The last minutes of the game saw more excitement, but again none of the teams could change the score.
Ramadan Super Football Tournament was held over two days with four teams --Al Wajbah, Lekhwiya, Al Shaqab and Lehuwaila.
