The regular Cabinet meeting, chaired by HE the Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani, at the Amiri Diwan yesterday, approved a draft law on military decorations, orders and medals, and referred it to the Advisory Council.
The draft law replaces Law No 12 of 1992 concerning decorations, orders, medals and flags of the Qatari Armed Forces and Law No. 22 of 2002 on decorations, orders and medals of the police force.
Following the meeting, HE the Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Dr Issa Saad al-Jafali al-Nuaimi stated the following:
The Cabinet reviewed the topics on the agenda as follows:
The Cabinet approved its draft decision to establish a national committee for woman, child, elderly and people with disabilities affairs.
The Cabinet approved its draft decision to establish municipality of industrial zones.
According to the draft decision, a municipality called “municipality of industrial zones” shall be established, to be under the Ministry of Municipality and Environment.
The Cabinet took necessary procedures to ratify a memorandum of co-operation in the field of transport between the Ministry of Transport and Communications in Qatar and Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism in Japan.
The Cabinet took necessary procedures to:
* Ratify a memorandum for economic, trade and technical co-operation between the Ministry of Commerce and Industry in Qatar and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in Japan.
* Ratify a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote co-operation in business events industry between the National Tourism Council in Qatar and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade in China.
* Ratify a memorandum of understanding on co-operation between Free Zone Authority in Qatar and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
* Ratify protocol to co-operate between Qatar-China Friendship Association and the Chinese-Arab Friendship Association.
The Cabinet approved a draft MoU for co-operation in the civil service affairs and administrative development between the governments of Qatar and Kuwait.
The Cabinet approved the draft first executive programme of co-operation in the field of education, higher education and scientific research of the MoU for co-operation in the field of education, higher education and scientific research between the governments of Qatar and Somalia for the academic years (2019/2020 2020/2021 2021/2022).
The Cabinet reviewed the memorandum of HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment on the proposed mechanism to provide a database on the real estate sector in the country and took the appropriate decision.
