Project Qatar has announced the 71 sponsors and partners of the country’s biggest and longest-running construction event and international trade fair.
The event will be held from April 29 to May 1 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani.
"The event is the only exhibition in Qatar that brings together construction and all related industries in one venue, and the sponsors this year confirm that Project Qatar 2019 will be the most comprehensive and diverse to date," organisers have said in a statement.
Over 500 international and local exhibitors are bringing some of the most recognised international and local brands from 34 countries to Doha for the event. 
Organised by IFP Qatar in association with the Qatar National Tourism Council, this year’s exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) as the strategic partner. 
The event will have strong support from its partners, including Qatar Chamber and Qatar Development Bank as Project Qatar’s business community partner and business development partner, respectively. Manateq (Economic Zones Company) is the economic partner, while Qetaifan is the exclusive development partner.
The event's platinum sponsor for this year was announced as Al Sraiya Holding Group, while this year’s diamond sponsors are Doha Kowate Trading, Contracting & Services and Qatar Primary Materials Company.
The gold sponsors are Al Qataria for Production of Reinforcing Steel, Al Darwish Engineering, Nasser Bin Khaled (NBK) Group and Monneli. 
Speaking for NBK Group, Eyad Rashid, general manager of the Heavy Equipment Division, explained that participating as a gold sponsor “emphasises NBK’s full commitment to the State of Qatar and its development. It also reflects our belief in the wise vision and the strategy of the country’s leadership, which motivates us to continually invest in various fields that boost our economy.” 
The silver sponsors are Al Shulah Lighting, Awazel International Co Qatar, Milano Kitchens Qatar, Muntajat, QTerminals, Steel Master Limited and Trust Engineering Consultancy.
Speaking for Trust Engineering Consultancy, managing partner Mohamed Lielah expressed appreciation for the Project Qatar team, saying: “We congratulate them on their success in arranging the biggest such event in the Middle East. We believe that in the coming years, Trust Engineering will be part of Qatar’s journey to 2022, and onward to 2030 to proudly deliver quality and success.”
Returning as one of Project Qatar’s biggest sponsors yet again is Nakheel Landscapes, the outdoor turnkey solution sponsor.
Among the other sponsors is Al Ta’adhod Group Trading and Contracting, as an associate sponsor, while the exclusive sponsors are Parsons International Limited - exclusive smart district sponsor, Karss Paint Industries (Pvt) Ltd (Happilac Paints) - exclusive paint sponsor, Sylvania Lighting - lighting sponsor, Gulf Crafts - innovative branding partner, and Ramaco Trading and Contracting Co - in its first year as construction solutions sponsor. 
Representing Ramaco Trading and Contracting Co, legal and administrative director Samia Mazloum said: “We will highlight the role of turnkey solutions, an area in which Ramaco has contributed to Qatar in the real estate sector.”
Sylvania Lighting representative Nurgul Karmis, marketing manager - Middle East, explained that Project Qatar was its first trade event in Qatar “because we believe the exhibition is the best event to show our position in Qatar’s booming construction market.” 
Meanwhile, this year’s landscape and water feature sponsor was announced as Palmera Agricultural Business. Basaam Abu Saada, business development manager, said: “We look forward to showcasing our services at the exhibition to potential companies and clients that require high-end solutions.”
