Ooredoo announced on Thursday a new reward promotion based on the hugely popular National Sport Day offer, which saw customers being rewarded for staying active throughout the day.

The new promotion will see customers receiving 100Mb data for free on a Wednesday if they complete 10,000 steps during the day. The free data will be added to their account automatically and will be valid until midnight of the same day.

All customers need to do is to ensure they have the most up-to-date version of the Ooredoo app, and allow the app to access their step tracker and the data will be added to their account automatically.

Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo, said: “Promoting a healthy, active lifestyle is a key priority for Ooredoo as part of our corporate responsibility strategy, as is enabling customers to enjoy the internet even more as part of our vision.

“This new promotion is the ideal combination of both priorities; it encourages our customers to stay active, and it also gives them free data to enjoy the internet. We’re sure it will be as popular a promotion as our National Sports Day offer and we look forward to getting Qatar active.”

Customers who do not have the Ooredoo app yet can download it at the Apple Store and Google Play.
