US President Donald Trump said on Saturday he has not read special counsel Robert Mueller's report on Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election.

‘I have not read the Mueller Report yet, even though I have every right to do so,’ Trump said on Twitter. ‘Only know the conclusions, and on the big one, No Collusion.’  The president's statement comes as Democrats are demanding the full Mueller report, and the Democrat-controlled House Judiciary Committee is threatening to subpoena the special counsel's documents.

Mueller was tasked in 2017 with investigating any Russian meddling in the 2016 US election and any ties to Trump's campaign. Attorney General William Barr submitted a four-page summary of the report last week, which Democrats have derided as insufficient.

The Barr summary quoted the Mueller report saying there was no conspiracy between Trump or his presidential campaign and the Russian government to influence the elections. Barr also concluded that Trump had not obstructed the investigation while Mueller reached no conclusion on obstruction.

Barr said the full 400-page report was being redacted to comply with legal issues, including sensitive matters of intelligence gathering or personal privacy. The attorney-general pledged to have the redacted version for Congress by the middle of the month.
