Strengthening national research and data collection capabilities, Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) and the Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on the deployment of QSurvey.
Noting the far-reaching significance of the joint initiative, Dr Ali J al-Kubaisi, acting managing director, QLC, said: "We are proud to expand our national partnership network with the inclusion of QFFD – the leading national development institution.
“Through this MoU, we are establishing concrete steps towards proactive and innovative solutions for a research-led national development.”
As the world’s first bilingual online survey tool for the promotion of scientific research, www.QSurvey.com and its corresponding mobile app were launched in April 2018 under the patronage of HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, chairperson of the QLC board of directors, as a free platform for efficient data storage and processing.
Researchers can rely on the tool’s secure data storage with native Arabic and English-language support and survey options. Notably, QSurvey users can analyse and export data onto a system of their choice, making it uniquely practical across a broad range of IT operation systems, such as Excel, PDF, and SPSS.
Dr al-Kubaisi pointed out that due to its advanced research and data analytics capabilities, QSurvey has achieved industry-wide success as an invaluable strategic and operational asset to both local and international partners.
“Notably, the tool provides private, public and government organisations with secure and flexible services to gather internal and external reporting information, and opens the pathway for free, unlimited creative research to users,” he added.
Khalifa bin Jassem al-Kuwari, director general, QFFD, said: “QLC is leading a significant modern enterprise development that is integral to the continued advancement of Qatar’s technology and research sector. As a synergist for public development, we continuously explore new opportunities for collaboration and innovative tools to drive our operational involvement in more than fifty geographical regions around the world. Effective planning and implementation of large-scale international operations depend on reliable data collection competencies. Consequently, QSurvey will become integral to QFFD’s provision of accessible financial tools and projects in key humanitarian outreach efforts.”
QSurvey is a highly versatile survey tool that allows organisations to securely draw on data in order to engage with the relevant stakeholders, complement projects and decision-making processes with accurate statistics, package respondent information easily for presentations, as well as export data to licensed enterprise IT systems. Governmental organisations may rely on its data services for an increasing number of e-government services, while scientific and healthcare organisations may utilise the digital space for enhanced collaboration and original data collection. Its body of target audiences is wide-ranging and includes media and marketing companies as well as leading academic institutions within the QLC network that benefit from the multi-service platform.
Anchoring its objectives on the Global Sustainable Development Goals, QFFD works towards the achievement of critical development and relief efforts around the globe. Its role is therefore instrumental in shaping the country’s development initiatives as part of a wider international community.
